Special Functional Coatings
COATIME® 365 Eco-AF
Biomimetic self-cleaning and anti fouling coating material
Product Overview
COATIME®365 Eco-AF is a novel antifouling coating with self-cleaning properties, developed using nanosilicone toughening and wear-resistant technology. Through nanoscale modification of silicone resins and overall formulation design, it significantly enhances coating toughness and wear resistance on a low-surface-energy interface. A unique antibacterial technology further endows the coating with exceptional marine antifouling performance.
Main Applications
This coating is suitable for underwater surface protection and antifouling of ocean-going ships, marine cable systems, aquaculture net cages, and fishing gear.
Key Performance Features
- Superior low-surface-energy antifouling prevents barnacle and marine organism attachment, with low toxicity and ecological friendliness.
- Excellent flexibility and tensile strength, with enhanced film toughness. Resists bending and deformation, maintains integrity after winding without cracking or peeling.
- High film hardness and pressure resistance, remains intact under high-pressure conditions without cracking or delamination.
- Smooth surface reduces drag resistance, compatible with towing and winding operations.
- Ambient temperature curing, easy repair, and excellent application performance.
- Smooth and flexible film withstands cleaning by fishing nets or underwater robotic systems.

Substrate Preparation & Temperature
Substrate Preparation: Apply over a dedicated primer. Ensure the substrate is clean and dry. Remove oil, dust, and surface rust. If the previous coating has cured for an extended period, lightly sand or roughen the epoxy surface to enhance adhesion and performance.
Substrate Temperature: Maintain between 0℃-50℃. The substrate surface temperature must exceed the dew point by at least 3℃ during application.
Mixing Ratio
Base : Hardener = 100 : 31 (by weight)
Thinner
Optional thinning is permitted but must not exceed recommended ratios. Excessive thinning may reduce sag resistance and slow drying. Always mix base and hardener thoroughly before adding thinner.
