Special Functional Coatings

Dachin WR 620
Superhydrophobic coating

Composition

The coating is composed of fluorosilicone resin, pigments, solvents, and additives. The second component is an aliphatic isocyanate curing agent.

Key Characteristics

The film exhibits excellent adhesion, hardness, ultra-high weather resistance, color/finish retention, outstanding chemical resistance, and self-cleaning properties with anti-soiling performance.

Applications

Ideal for high-performance protective and decorative coatings on vehicles, bridges (including concrete structures), construction machinery, and critical infrastructure steel/concrete surfaces.

Application Guide

  • Dachin WR 620 Superhydrophobic Coating is best applied via airless spray for optimal single-coat film formation efficiency.
  • Maintain surface temperature at least 3°C above dew point and below 85% relative humidity during application.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation in confined spaces.
  • Mix base material and curing agent strictly by ratio before use. Use only prepared quantities within pot life. All mixed coating must be consumed within the specified working period.
  • Keep all tools dry and clean before/after application.
  • Avoid contact with water, acids, or alkalis during mixing and application. Curing agent containers must be sealed tightly after use to prevent curing blockage.
  • Allow full curing for 7 days before final use.

Compatible Coatings

Undercoats: Dachin EP 550 Epoxy Zinc Silicate Intermediate Coat, Dachin EP 100 Epoxy Primer, etc.

Coating Layers

Suggested application: 2 coats for dry film thickness of 60-80μm.

Surface Preparation

Clean substrate surfaces of all contaminants (oil, dust, etc.). Ensure no moisture or condensation on surfaces. For cured polyurethane, fluorocarbon, or epoxy coatings, lightly sand to roughen prior to topcoat application.

Mixing

This two-component product (Component A base, Component B curing agent) requires thorough power tool stirring of each component prior to mixing. Strictly follow mix ratios and re-stir after blending.
