Anti-Corrosion Primer
Dachin Zinc 086
Epoxy zinc rich coating
Main Components
Two-component system: Component A consists of medium molecular weight epoxy resin, zinc dust, pigments, rheological additives and solvents through dispersion grinding; Component B is amine curing agent.
Key Features
High zinc content provides exceptional corrosion protection through electrochemical action. Rapid ambient curing with excellent substrate adhesion and intercoat compatibility. Heat-resistant without compromising weldability.
Primary Applications
Widely used in metallurgy, container manufacturing, shipbuilding, vehicle production, and steel plate pretreatment shot blasting lines. Ideal as metal pretreatment coating and anti-corrosion maintenance primer for steel structures across industries.

Application
Dachin Zinc 086 Epoxy Zinc-Rich Primer can be applied via conventional spray, airless spray, or brush. Cure requires minimum 5℃ substrate temperature (max 40℃). Maintain surface temperature ≥3℃ above dew point with RH <85%.
Ensure clean/dry substrates and proper ventilation in confined spaces. Mix components in specified ratio before use. Use within 4 hours after mixing. Keep tools clean and dry.
Zinc salts (white rust) may form on exposed surfaces. Apply Dachin EP 550 Epoxy MIO Intermediate Coat promptly as sealer to minimize rework. Indoor storage (clean environments): ≤3 months exposure; Outdoor (clean): ≤14 days; Industrial/marine: Minimize exposure time.
Remove zinc salts via sweep blasting or mechanical cleaning before overcoating. Prevent dry spray in high temperatures by proper thinning. Ensure adequate ventilation.

23±3μm (as shop primer) | 60±20μm (as anti-corrosive primer)
Surface Preparation
Steel substrates: Abrasive blast to Sa2.5 (ISO 8501-1:1988) or SSPC SP10. Profile range: Rz 40-75μm. Insufficient profile risks adhesion failure; excessive peaks may cause pitting corrosion.
Alternative: Power tool cleaning to St3 with oil/grease removal. Base metal must be free from dust and contaminants.
Mixing
Two-component system (Component A: Base; Component B: Curing Agent). Mechanically stir each component separately before proportioning. Mix thoroughly in correct ratio.
