Anti-Corrosion Primer
Dachin ZS 310
Alcohol soluble inorganic zinc rich coating
Main Components
Two-component system: Component A consists of alkyl silicate, ultrafine zinc dust, anti-corrosive pigments and additives; Component B serves as the base material.
Key Features
- Zinc dust provides cathodic protection with superior anti-corrosion performance.
- Rapid-drying film enables material handling, stacking, and topcoat application shortly after coating.
- Excellent weldability and cutting performance.
- Withstands temperatures up to 400°C with minimal burn-off during welding/cutting.
- Compatible with most coating systems.
Primary Applications
Used as shop primer in steel pretreatment lines for shipyards and heavy machinery plants. Also suitable for offshore platforms, dock steel columns, bridges, and large steel structures requiring corrosion protection.

Application
Gradually add Component B to Component A while stirring to achieve homogeneous mixture. Maintain continuous agitation during application to prevent zinc settlement. Apply at 2-50℃ with 50-95% RH. Humidify environment if RH is too low. Seal coat with epoxy mica iron oxide paint to prevent pitting corrosion.
Ensure complete curing of inorganic zinc-rich primer before topcoating. Exercise caution when opening pressurized zinc paste containers - vent gas gradually via small pinhole to prevent accidents.
Coating Compatibility
Topcoat recommendation: Dachin EP 550 Epoxy MIO Intermediate Coat. Incompatible with alkyd/polyester coatings.
Surface Preparation
Steel substrates: Remove contaminants via abrasive blasting to Sa2.5 (ISO 8501-1) with controlled roughness. Power tool cleaning to St3 for weld areas.
Mixing
Two-component system (Component A: Base; Component B: Curing Agent). Mechanically stir Component A first, then gradually incorporate Component B in specified ratio using power mixer.
Application Methods
