Anti-Corrosion Primer
Dachin VE 380
Acid resistant primer
Main Components
A three-component, high-solids, air-drying vinyl coating composed of vinyl resin, accelerator, curing agent, additives, etc.
Key Features
As an acid-resistant primer, it exhibits excellent resistance to organic/inorganic acid solutions and many aliphatic solvents. Offers superior barrier protection, rapid drying, and ease of application.
Primary Applications
Widely used for protective coating on carbon steel structures (bridges, marine engineering, petrochemical plants, paper mills) and concrete substrates.

Application
- Dachin VE 380 Acid-Resistant Primer is a three-component system (Base, Curing Agent, Accelerator). Strictly follow mixing/application guidelines. Mixed material will gel beyond pot life.
- Dispose of waste properly. Clean equipment immediately after use with dedicated cleaner Dachin Thinner X16. Ensure thorough cleaning of airless pumps to prevent clogging.
- On concrete: Primarily seals pores. Film thickness is not critical.
- If exceeding recoat window, test with styrene. If surface remains tacky, recoat directly. If hardened, sand/scarify before recoating.
- Typical DFT: 100μm (airless spray) | 75μm (brush/roller).
Compatible Topcoats
Next coat: Dachin VE 742 Acid-Resistant Coating
Surface Preparation
Steel substrates: Remove contaminants. Blast clean to Sa2.5 with moderate profile. Power tool clean welds to St3.
Concrete substrates: Ensure cured, clean, dry surface. Remove loose cement slurry by grinding.
Mixing
Three-component system (A, B, C). Mix strictly by ratio using mechanical agitation.
Application Methods
Method | Cleaner | Dilution Ratio | Nozzle Orifice |
Airless spray | Dachin Thinner X16 | 0 (by weight) | 0.48-0.58mm | Fluid pressure ≥70 kg/cm² |
Brush/Roller | Dachin Thinner X16 | 0-5% (by weight) | Use short-nap rollers |
Precautions
- Read instructions before use.
- Surface temperature must be ≥3°C above dew point.
- Maintain dry, clean conditions with adequate ventilation. Keep substrate/air/paint temperature between 10-40°C during application/curing.
- At >35°C or direct sunlight: Recoat immediately after touch-dry to ensure intercoat adhesion.
- Use ONLY Dachin Thinner X16 for cleaning. Other solvents may cause precipitation. Clean equipment periodically during application.
